Among homeowners and native plant enthusiasts, there’s a wide range of tolerance for introduced species. Regardless of your feelings about Dame’s Rocket, Cleavers, or dandelions, you’ll learn how to identify and harvest pervasive plants for food. Together, we’ll discover the edible value in many species that are often disregarded—or even despised. Participants will also sample simple recipes featuring wildcrafted foods made with early spring greens and flowers.
This indoor lecture includes an optional short outdoor walk to explore edible spring plants in their natural setting.
